Foreign Managers for P-1, O-1, and B-1 visa invitations

Who can be a foreign manager for P-1, O-1 & B-1 Visas

Foreign managers can be anyone affiliated with a visa applicant and who lives outside of the United States. For many, this is just a family member or close friend that serves this purpose.

What does a foreign manager do?

By having a foreign manager included with the visa application, some responsibilities are assigned to someone other than the petitioner or visa sponsor in the United States. The designation of a foreign manager allows the entity in the United States to sponsor the visa and stay out of the affairs of the talent applying fo the visa.

Using a foreign manager

The foreign manager does not have to be a person normally in the business of managing talent, and it can be anyone the athlete/talent trusts outside of the United States to serve in the role.

Suzanne Brooks Receives P visa through SDS Sports Agency

We are proud to announce that SDS Sports Agency has successfully obtained P visa approval for Australian Barrel Racer Suzanne Brooks. Suzanne was signed to SDS Sports Agency this fall after having issues obtaining a P visa due to lack of a sponsor.

Athletes from all over the world have trained for their competitions and tournaments in the United States on visitor B1/B2 visas for years. However, recent changes in immigration enforcement aggressiveness threatens athletes’ ability to move freely in and out of the United States on a visitor visas. For these purposes, SDS Sports Agency has worked in tandem with foreign Agents, Managers, Brands, Companies, and Training facilities to facilitate both nonimmigrant and immigrant visas for superb athletes.

Typically, P visas are obtained from a United States based event/competition company or by a United States based management company. Currently, we are servicing applications for P visas that utilize our agency as US representatives of foreign entities to sponsor athletes. Many athletes are managed in their home country and rely on sponsorship from events in which they compete to serve as the petitioner for their visa. However, the flexibility and control of petitioning through a familiar organization such as SD Sports Group is a far better and practical experience.
